Lately there has just been too much going on for me to even think about blogging. It’s a good kind of busy though but it keeps me on my toes.

I have been doing mountains of sewing lately for my trademe account and I will share some photos here with you. I have also just finished another blanket for Mission Without Borders. Well, it still needs putting together but the knitting part is done.

A friend from home schooling days lost her husband this week in a tragic accident in the South Island. This has been weighing heavily on my mind and I spend many hours a day while sewing thinking of her and praying for her and her little 9 month old baby girl. His life celebration/memorial was yesterday. The days while the search for him was still going were filled with so much prayer and hoping against hope and it hit me like a wall when I heard on Monday that they had found his body in the river. He was only 35. I know the Lord always has a plan and that He is in control of our lives so all I can pray is that He will strengthen my friend and comfort her in this time.

I have been doing some experimental baking lately too. This comes in fits and starts with me but I like to try new recipes now and again. I made rhubarb and custard muffins last week. They were ok but not fantastic. Something new next week when I can find a spare moment perhaps. Sourdough bread has been another revelation to me lately! You must try making your own! It’s too cool for words!

I have just discovered a new band called Roses & Revolutions and I am loving their music so much! Lea Michelle is also looping on my playlists lately. I just love her album so much.

We have been having a typhoon storm this week and really it has been storming pretty much solidly for two weeks now. I am ready for some sunshine! Each morning in the later part of this week we have woken up wondering if we will have power as we often lose power when it storms like this but so far we have been blessed and there have been no outages.

Well, I must get back to my sewing but I just wanted to wish you all a wonderful weekend!
Take Care
